Aparna Purohit, who is currently serving as the head of India and SEA originals at Amazon Prime Video, has now put down her papers. Purohit has been associated with the company for almost 8.5 years now, starting in 2016 as Head of Creative Development. After three years in 2019, she was promoted to Head of India Originals and in 2022, she took over her current position. Zoom TV now has exclusive information about Aparna Purohit being in talks with Aamir Khan Productions Pvt. Ltd for the CEO role.

While we had earlier heard that Aparna Purohit was being offered one of the leadership roles in Aamir Khan Productions, we now hear that she will be designated as the Chief Executive Officer. Purohit, who brings with her a wealth of experience and expertise in content creation and distribution, has not yet signed the dotted lines though. The modalities are being worked out currently and her pay package is being discussed. The exact reason why she quit Amazon Prime is not yet known.
Aparna Purohit’s tenure at Amazon Prime was marked by numerous successful collaborations and the development of critically acclaimed original content. We hear that there have been a few other names in consideration on Aamir Khan’s table for CEO but Aparna is distinctly ahead in the race for the post.
Aamir Khan Productions, led by the acclaimed Bollywood actor and filmmaker Aamir Khan, is known for producing films like Laal Singh Chaddha, Secret Superstar, Laapataa Ladies and more.
