One day on and some of the cast and crew, including longtime franchise star Jennifer Tilly and series creator Don Mancini, are now reacting to the surprise news while thanking fans for their support.
Knowing Chucky’s penchant for resurrections over the decades, Tilly and Mancini believe this isn’t the last time the psychopathic killer will grace the big or small screen.
‘HE’LL BE BACK,’ Mancini teased on X (formerly Twitter). ‘I have so much love for our amazing fans. Your #RenewChucky campaign meant the world to me during a very difficult time.
‘Chucky says to tell all of you, quoting himself: ‘See ya real soon.”

One day after news of their show’s demise, stars like Devon Sawa, Jennifer Tilly, Zackary Arthur, Alyvia Alyn Lind, and franchise creator Don Mancini are sharing their thoughts
Tilly, who first appeared in the franchise in Bride Of Chucky (1998), took to Instagram to share her sadness over the cancelation news.
‘I am sad to announce that Chucky, the TV series has just been cancelled. Go towards the light Tiffany, go towards the light…, ‘ she wrote.
Tilly, who reprised her role as Tiffany Valentine and played herself in the horror series, went on to thank fans for their support in an X post, as reported by Deadline.
‘So sad to announce that after three wonderful seasons the television series ‘Chucky’ has finally been canceled,’ the actress, 66, began.
‘First I’d like to think our fans, who managed to keep the #RenewChucky hashtag trending for MONTHS! Without your loyalty and tenacity Chucky would never have endured for thirty years!
‘We’re really proud of our show. It has been a wonderful miracle working with this talented cast and crew. We were very lucky to have the leadership of our brilliant captain Don Mancini,’ she added, before revealing she too believed Chucky’s down but not out just yet.
‘But (to quote Call of Duty) we are ‘down but not out,’ Tilly declared. ‘Resurrections are Chucky’s specialties and he has many of them!’
She ended the post by promoting the three seasons, which are considered the eighth main installment of the Child’s Play franchise, that are available to stream on Peacock.
Devon Sawa, 46, who has played an assortment of characters during the show’s three season run, also sounded confident that the franchise will return in the future.
‘CHUCKY NEVER ENDS!! … He just respawns,’ Sawa declared Saturday.
‘I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, this series was some of the most fun I’ve ever had shooting. I’m sad, but excited to see where it goes. RIP — ‘The Series’.’
Creator Don Mancini, 61, reiterated he thinks Chucky will be back soon enough: ‘See ya real soon’

Tilly went on to thank fans and heap praise on her co-workers, before sharing how she too believes Chucky will be back considering ‘resurrections are Chucky’s specialties’

Fiona Dourif, 42, reprised her movie role as Nica Pierce, along with taking over for her dad Brad Dourif as a young killer Charles Lee Ray, for the series.
She shared her gratitude, writing on X, ‘This job was a dream, and I am grateful for every minute of it. *we take a tiny red bow*.’
The man who played Jake Wheeler, a teenager who purchases Chucky at a yard sale, is also convinced Chucky will eventually make his triumphant return.
‘For the past 4 years I got the pleasure of working with some of the most talented, caring, and driven people I’ve met,’ actor Zackary Arthur, 18, wrote in his Instagram Story post. ‘The time I’ve spent working on Chucky not only spawned some of the greatest moments in my life, but also gained me invaluable lifelong friends.
He went on to thank the fans for their support and then join in the declaration that ‘Chucky always comes back.’

The woman behind the Lexy Cross character, Alyvia Alyn Lind, joined in on bidding a farewell to Chucky… for now.
‘Thank you so much to all the cast, crew, fans and every person who made this show possible,’ she wrote. ‘It really is so special and I’m so grateful to have spent the last 4 years playing Lexy. Love you Chucky family. Lexy signing off.’

Tilly first appeared in the Child’s Play/Chucky franchise in Bride Of Chucky (1998)
Tilly, Fiona Dourif, Alex Vincent, Billy Boyd, and Christine Elise, were among those who reprised their roles from previous films.
The series also starred Björgvin Arnarson, Teo Briones, Brad Dourif, Lexa Doig, Barbara Alyn Woods, Michael Therriault, Rachelle Casseus, Carina London Battrick, Rosemary Dunsmore, Lara Jean Chorostecki, Annie M. Briggs, and Bella Higginbotham, among others.
Mancini launched the bloody franchise with the film Child’s Play (1988), which he co-wrote with John Lafia and director Tom Holland.
That led to the many sequels: Child’s Play 2 (1990), Child’s Play 3 (1991), Bride Of Chucky (1998), Seed of Chucky (2004), Curse of Chucky (2013) and Cult of Chucky (2017).
