While One Piece is a beloved series that continues to enthrall and excite dedicated fans even after almost 26 years, there is an incredible amount of pressure on Netflix’s take on the series. With a large dedicated following, expectations are high and questions remain as to whether Netflix can faithfully translate the manga into live-action in a way that remains faithful to the source material’s art and story. While One Piece’s poster teased the core cast and its first trailer turned out to be pretty good, much of the series still remains unseen, as such, viewers have yet to truly determine whether Netflix can capture the world of One Piece.
