A big summer of change is coming up at Paris Saint-Germain, with Sergio Ramos‘ departure the latest to be announced.

The news came shortly after Christophe Galtier confirmed Lionel Messi‘s departure at a press conference on Friday morning.

“The game against Clermont will be Leo‘s last game at the Parc des Princes,” he stated.

Although PSG later tried to backtrack, everything suggests that Messi will eventually end up in Saudi Arabia.

Here, we take a look at the many changes that are coming up at the Parc des Princes in what should be a turbulent summer.

Galtier to depart

Change in the coaching position has also been announced this weekend via L’Equipe, with the French publication alleging that the club have already decided to part ways with Galtier.

The decisive factor for the coach’s dismissal seems to be the team’s elimination at the hands of Bayern Munich in the Champions League’s round of 16.

Jose MourinhoThiago Motta and even Luis Enrique have emerged as possible candidates to succeed Galtier.

A new sporting project

Meanwhile, PSG intend to reduce the number of stars in the squad and shift the focus to developing young players, with their project being led by Kylian Mbappe.

As reported by The Sun, Neymar has already told the club that he would be open to join Manchester United. However, PSG are reluctant to let him go at any price.

Neymar has contractual obligations with Qatar and the Qatar brand, which could facilitate a potential move to Manchester United if the club is eventually acquired by Qataris.

Asensio’s arrival

While there is much discussion about departures, PSG are also actively working on signings. As reported by MARCA on Friday, Marco Asensio is bidding farewell to Real Madrid and, after informing Aston Villa that he won’t be joining the Premier League side, he appears to be heading to Paris.

Meetings between agent Jorge Mendes and PSG advisor Luis Campos have been taking place in recent days and Asensio is expected to pen a long-term contract with the club.

PSG’s last game of the season

PSG face Clermont on Saturday at 21:00 CEST. The game will signify the beginning of a new era in France, as both Messi and Ramos will bid farewell to the club.
