The Detroit Lions have been accused of employing deceptive maneuvers to pressure Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford into making a costly interception

The Detroit Lions may have been helped by an unlikely source during their win against the LA Rams on Sunday night, as their jerseys blended in with their end zone and wall padding behind it.

Detroit, who ultimately won the game 26-20 in overtime, wore blue and silver uniforms that were identical in color to the end zone and nearby wall.

And that color clash appeared to have affected Matthew Stafford during a first-half interception, as he was picked off by Detroit’s Kerby Joseph in the end zone.

The experienced Stafford put his hands on his head after making the mistake, with NFL analyst Warren Sharp supposing that the play occurred because the defender was camouflaged.

‘that’s some next level stealth mode right there,’ one fan said in response on X.

‘Like running ‘Chameleon’ in Backyard Football,’ another said.’Home Field Advantage,’ added a different fan.

‘How is this allowed? Definitely need a rule update,’ another chimed in. ‘Brilliant strategy though.’

However, another fan claimed that the errant decision was a ‘panic’ throw by Stafford with the Lions’ Aidan Hutchinson coming off of the edge.

The mistake proved to be a significant one, as the Rams went empty-handed after a nine-play, 62-yard drive before halftime.

They later led 20-17 in the fourth quarter before Detroit tied things up with a late field goal and won the game in overtime with a David Montgomery touchdown.

Detroit will host the Bucs on Sunday while the Rams will look to notch their first win of the season at the Cardinals.
